Why Catholic?…Why Not?

Interested in learning about the Catholic faith? Perhaps you’ve been coming to Mass for a while, but aren’t Catholic. Would you like to learn more…learn what the Catholic Church teaches about our faith in Jesus Christ?

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will soon begin a new journey of conversion to share the richness of the Catholic faith with others. This journey begins through a process known as the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). Instruction is provided in a wide range of subjects including Catholic doctrine, sacraments and sacramental theology, moral/social justice teachings, Divine Revelation (Scripture & Tradition), and other adult faith formation matters. OCIA is a structured process that allows ample time for reflection, questions, and discussions. If you have concerns or questions about the Catholic faith, this is the venue to find the answers you’ve been seeking. Come and See!

Who should attend OCIA?

  • Those who are Non-baptized
  • Those baptized in another faith tradition and seeking to become Catholic
  • Catholics who have been ‘away’ from the Church and wish to return
  • Practicing Catholics looking to renew their faith knowledge
